Breathe, Dip & Connect
Free Event at our Private Riverside Location in Smoko
With Feathertop as our backdrop and the Ovens as our soundtrack, this is your chance to slow down, reset, and reconnect.
The perfect way to recover from a big week of work or training. Breathwork and cold-water immersion are two of the most direct ways to shift how your body and mind feel. Together they quiet a busy mind, reduce stress and elevate your mood.
A 30-minute guided breathwork session, suitable for all experience levels, followed by an optional river dip and time afterwards to connect over a hot drink.
Come slow down in nature with like-minded people. You'll leave feeling calm but alive.
Cost: Free
Where: Private Riverside Location in Smoko (10min from Bright)
The next event is: Saturday 10th of October 9:00 AM
-
Comfy clothes, a water bottle, bathers, towel, thong or slides.
A limited number of mats are available. Please book a ‘reserve a mat’ spot if you don’t have your own. Otherwise, you’re welcome to use your towel over the grass.
-
Wear warm clothes for breathwork (considering the morning weather) with your bathers underneath (if you’d like to dip). There is a toilet and space to get changed at the house afterwards, 200m from river.
-
When you arrive, park at the house and we’ll all walk down to the river together (200m).
The breathwork and optional dip run for about 45min. Afterwards we'll head back to the house. Stick around for a hot drink and a chat with a view of Feathertop, or head off whenever you're ready.
There's an outdoor shower if you want to rinse off, plus separate changing and toilet facilities. Otherwise, dry off in the sunshine.
-
Not at all. The dip is completely optional. You're welcome to ease in slowly, just dip your feet, or skip it altogether and enjoy the breathwork. No pressure, no expectations — you do what feels right for you on the day.
-
Cold-water immersion is safe and beneficial for most people, but it isn't for everyone. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, epilepsy, are pregnant, or have any other health concern, please check with your doctor before booking. I'll brief everyone on how to enter the water safely before we start, and you're always in control of how far you take it.
-
None at all. Sessions are suitable for all levels and you'll be guided through everything, step by step. All you need to do is show up and breathe.
-
We'll run in most conditions — a bit of cold is part of it. If it rains, we'll move the breathwork into the studio on site, and the dip stays optional as always. I'll send any updates the morning of the event if the weather looks so questionable.
-
No particular fitness required. It's a short, flat 200m walk to the river, and the breathwork is done lying down. If you'd like to dip, getting into the river involves a few steps over uneven ground, and you'll need to be able to support yourself in the water.
